Letter from CIHS’s CEO
Valued Stakeholders ,
We have a purpose here at CIHS about improving the health and wellbeing: a purpose that acknowledges all
stakeholders involved in the daily operations of CIHS. But exactly what does this purpose mean ?
As we steer through the hardship and challenges of COVID-19; I want to emphasize our continuous efforts to
improve service, health, and safety of all stakeholders.
A purpose based on improving the health and wellbeing means:
- For our consumers … Our consumers have been provided CDC COVID-19 factsheets to keep them informed about the facts about coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and how to stop the spread . As of March 18th, 2020; we’ve placed a halt on face to face counseling by incorporating telehealth technology. Consumers will continue to receive necessary services from their counselors via telehealth.
- For our staff … Our staff have also been provided CDC COVID-19 factsheets. Multiple postings of CDC COVID-19 factsheets can be found in our facility. As of March 16th, 2020, we’ve reduced the number of staff in the office at any given point of time, to two. Clean wipes and hand sanitizers are found at the facility’s immediate exit and entrance. Due to the 5 p.m. curfew imposed by Maryland’s Governor for non-essential employees, the agency has provided all staff with a public work badge. Our staff are essential and should not face any legal ramifications for their work.
- For our partners and community… We will continue to serve new consumers in need of our services. All consumers will be screened and evaluated, with use of telehealth technology. To further protect the health of our staff and current consumers, we ask that all referring providers screen their consumers for COVID-19 prior to discharge. Via CIHS’s social media platforms (Website, Fb and Instagram), our partners and community are provided continuous updates on the measures CIHS has in place during the times of COVID-19. The general community will also have access to CDC COVID-19 factsheets.
It is part of our purpose here at CIHS to improve the health and well-being of individuals, families and communities. Our values of brand assets and customer service supports our every action in ensuring quality services and genuine effort to answer to the needs of all stakeholders involved in our operation.
Thank you ,
